Ron has taught me the Yang 8 form via the inroduction to Tai Chi course, which I share with my own students every week. I have regular one to one lessons, which I find very interesting and enjoyable. I highly recommend Ron as an instructor, he is friendly, knowledgeable and conveys complicated techniques in an easy to understand way.

I have been training in Tai Chi with Ron since November 2021. With weekly online lessons, I have learned a number of forms, and am now learning sword form! Ron is an excellent instructor- he is patient, kind, and easy-going. He is also thorough and encouraging, and I am so pleased at my progress over this time. Last year, Ron and his partner organized an in-person workshop that I was able to attend, and I am now a certified instructor for the Yang 8 form! That was an excellent experience, and I look forward to more in-person meetings in the years to come. I am 58 years old, and I can feel the benefits of this training to my strength, balance, and mental acuity, so it is definitely something that I will stay with!

I have been attending weekly class with the International Tai Chi Alliance for 3 months now and really enjoying the first steps of my Tai Chi journey. I can’t recommend the school highly enough and I feel very fortunate to have found them. The class is a very supportive environment where everyone learns at their own pace and I have enjoyed getting to know the other students and learning from them. I am very much inspired by their dedication and abilities. I have learnt Yang 8 form and now learning the Chen 18 form which is very different! I am beginning to make links between Tai Chi and daily life and after a ‘light bulb’ moment in class yesterday I feel my understanding and practice has profoundly shifted. Since I started practising Tai Chi I have noticed an improvement with my fitness, balance, flexibility and improved sleep. I am learning to slow down both in my practice and in my life which is very welcome change. I have found Ron to be an exceptional teacher. He has a friendly and warm manner with a good sense of humour. His instructions are very clear and the explanations he provides to help with the learning really make sense. He is encouraging, positive and supportive and he is very patient at all times. Ron is clearly very advanced in his knowledge so I feel I am really learning from the best! Thank you Ron 🙂

I was nervous about having private lessons, however Ron put me at ease straight away. He is a knowledgeable and attentive teacher. I am being pushed to my limit but he is supportive the entire way. I highly recommend.

Ron is a superalitive: Instructor. Coach Observer. Actualizer. Dizzyingly capable martial artist. Welcoming and effective teacher at all levels. And always a pleasure.

I've been taking lessons with Ron for several weeks now and feel really fortunate to have come across him. He does an amazing job of breaking down all of the motions into well narrated steps, and is highly skilled. The ability to engage someone of his caliber through a format like Zoom is really a luxury. Ron is very personable and talking with him throughout the lessons has been a real pleasure. I'd characterize his teaching approach as patient and encouraging. I've seen some improvement already, and I'm looking forward to the comfort that will come with more training. I would definitely recommend Ron to anyone who is interested in learning Tai Chi!

I've been working with Ron and Linda for over 3 years now and the impact on my physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health is beyond words. Six months ago I had surgey to repair a torn tendon which required the surgeon to basically rebuild my foot. Recovery was said to take 12-18 months. The orthopedic surgeon released me from care after 5 months. I am sure my physical therapist was tired of hearing me say, "We do that in Tai Chi." after every new exercise she gave me but it's the truth. Tai Chi was my physical therapy. Ron's support during my recovery was invaluable. He asked me every class how the foot was, if the swelling had gone down and he worked within my capabilities. He's an intuitive instructor and he knows what the student needs at the time. I preach the benefits of Tai Chi to everyone I can and Ron is an excellent instructor with whom to start your Tai Chi journey.

The training I received as part of the Introduction to Tai Chi instructor certificate with Ron and Linda has been second to none. Prior to my current role in the NHS in Prehabilitation, I co-founded a successful UK sports coaching business and can honestly say that the quality of support, expert delivery from all the trainers, additional opportunities to practise and learn from others, and individualised feedback and encouragement has far exceeded any training I have participated in previously. I am very much looking forward to continuing to learn with the School and highly recommend it to others.

Great first lesson! I'm very impressed with how Ron makes Zoom an effective tool. He's also very patient and walks you through step by step. He seems to read and work at the student's pace. Overall, he's a really great instructor! Thank you!

I have been taking tai chi lessons online with Ron for over a year. I can't believe how much I enjoy what I am learning! Ron is an excellent instructor- he is so clearly focused on his students' learning and maintains a consistently positive and encouraging attitude. I have learned multiple tai chi routines, and I have a great time practicing them outside of the lessons. I really feel the benefits, in mobility and mental attitude. I look forward to more learning in years to come!
